These are our dogs Tres** and Daisey***. They are both American Pit Bull Terriers (mixes). He's 10 months old in this picture. She's 3 years old. We got him from the local dog pound. We got Daisey from a lady who wanted to find a good home for her. Pit Bulls have been given a bad rap. Both of them are the biggest, most loyal mushes I have ever known. For the truth on Pit Bulls, go to your local library and check out any book on their training and/or breeding. Pit Bulls were among the earliest breeds in America. Helen Keller owned a Pit Bull. President Theodore Roosevelt also owned a Pit Bull. In fact, Pit Bulls helped settle our country. During World War I, the most decorated war dog was a Pit Bull named "Stubby".
I also have two Donkeys, Sebastian and Alexander, who were adopted in February of 2006. Sebastian is 4 years old and Alexander is 3 years old. I got them at a Bureau of Land Management auction and they fill my two corrals nicely. They were both totally wild when I got them. "Gentling" or taming them has been a heart warming experience. They are truly loving animals. Donkeys have a cross on their backs. Legend says that the shadow of the Cross of Jesus fell across the donkey’s back while at the Crucifixion which explains the characteristic “cross” on the back and shoulders of the donkey.
